Michael brings 18 years of experience in corporate communications, digital and social media, event marketing, public relations, and journalism to Rue La La. Adept at developing and executing strategic plans, he was recognized by PR Week Magazine as one of the “40 Under 40” in 2010. With expertise honing in on verticals (sports, consumer digital media, paid content, B2B, and tech), Michael has built a national profile in social media marketing. His accomplishments include the development and implementation of a social and digital media marketing strategy for Text 100; the creation of a social media marketing department for The National Hockey League (growing their audience from 0 to more than 2.5MM in two years); and various PR-related positions across a portfolio of firms.
And in 2006, he founded Rising Tide Public Relations, a consulting service focused on developing and executing strategic communication plans for emerging growth companies. Michael is also a contributor to publications such as The Boston Herald, The Boston Globe, The Lowell Sun, and the Community Newspaper Company. Michael received his B.A. in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
