Brad Wilson, CMO Travelocity

Having spent his career building some of the most recognizable online brands, Brad Wilson, Chief Marketing Officer of Travelocity, has also made an indelible mark at Travelocity by introducing and launching the Go & Smell the Roses brand campaign in 2013. By driving initiatives that include improved promotional activities, accelerated direct web traffic and upgraded CRM operations, Brad and his team have consistently improved core operations and key performance measures — including record hotel sales in 2013. Prior to joining Travelocity, Brad served as SVP of Marketing and Brand Management for Nutrisystem, where he was responsible for brand stewardship across the portfolio of Nutrisystem brands. During his tenure, Brad helped Nutrisystem to expand beyond its traditional direct response model to become a leading multi-channel brand. In previous roles, Brad led the marketing and customer acquisition efforts for Blockbuster Online, working to nearly double their paid membership while also helping to launch the innovative Blockbuster Total Access program, combining an online and in-store experience in one package. Brad also led the team responsible for driving over half of new revenue and members through partnership distribution and online marketing for Match.com.
Brad earned his MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and is also a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. When he isn’t busy building successful online brands, Brad enjoys following the Travelocity mantra to “Go and Smell the Roses” by traveling to exotic destinations with his family. His favorite travel moment came from Costa Rica, where Brad describes “…watching only the shimmering flow of lava light up the darkest of nights near Arenal or experiencing the true tranquility of an afternoon downpour in the middle of the rainforest, exploring Costa Rica remains our favorite trip to this day. The warm Costa Rican people equally left an imprint on us forever – reminding us to experience ‘pura vida
