Marcela Shine - Cofounder and CEO, Scientifcly

Marcela Shine is Cofounder and CEO of Scientifcly, a cutting edge SaaS platform that helps brands to analyze social ROI by analyzing consumer-product sharing across retailers, publishers and social platforms.  Their actionable data can be used across an entire organization for marketing, merchandising and design execution.

Shine’s career started at Lipper Analytical (acquired by Reuters), where she managed global product teams for their Big Data products, among them the Lipper Data Feed Services (LDFS). LDFS was the first to distribute fund data to online publishers such as The Wall Street Journal Interactive, SmartMoney and – and make benchmarking available to the every day investor. Her last role there was in post-acquisition management, where she helped integrate companies such as HedgeWorld into the Reuters group of companies.  She started working directly with start-ups in 2006, where she has held both COO and CEO roles.

Shine is a partners in Avanzar Ventures, which makes seed/angel investments in start-ups focused on digital marketing technology.  She is also on the advisory board of the Carey Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to helping families living with breast cancer.
